METHAMBO


Ingredients:

2- kilo raw mango      4 tsp. Cumin seeds

Salt            4 tbsp. Fennel seeds

50 grams red chili powder      Asafetida

4 tsp. Oil

 

Preparation:

Peel out the raw mangoes and make into 2 inch pieces. Add water till the raw mango sinks. Boil the water. Boil for 3 –4 boils. Shift through a fine cloth. Dry them on another cloth.

2 times sugar than the weight of mango pieces.

 

Take sugar in the pot and pour the water till the sugar sinks. Add a little salt and boil till sugar syrup attains 2 tar. Add raw mango pieces and boil for 10 minutes. When the syrup cools, mix red chili powder.

In a frying pan take oil and heat. Add cumin seeds and fennel seeds and mix the syrup with raw mango. Stir well and fill in the glass jar.
