BALLUSHAI


 

INGREDIENTS:

1-cup all-purpose flour      1/2-cup ghee

1 1/2-cup ghee for frying      3/4 cup sugar

1/2-cup plain yogurt      6-7 almonds-pistachio chopped cardamom and      nutmeg powder.

 

PREPARATION:

Add ghee and plain yogurts to all-purpose flour. Knead the dough until soft.

Make 20 dough balls and flatten them between palms. Heat the ghee in the frying pan and fry the flattened balls on medium heat.

Add water to sugar and boil to make the syrup. Add cardamom and nutmeg powder to the sugar syrup. Dip all fried balls into the syrup. These are known as ballushai.

Keep all ballushai in a plate and decorate with crushed almonds and pistachio.
