Jai Jinendra!

We are very fortunate to have Acharya Shri Chandanaji, Sadhviji Shubhamji and Vibhaji  during our Chalit Sthapan Ceremony.  Acharya Shri Chandanaji will give us a discourse on Saturday, July 9, 2005, at 2:30 PM after swami vatsalya lunch and before the Jain play directed by Shri Narendrabhai Nandu.  (Reminders for the entire program of Chalit Sthapan will be sent soon.)

Acharya Shri Chandanaji is not unfamiliar to us – our youth has participated in Virayatan activities and her disciple Sadhviji Shilapiji will be with us during Das Laxana this year.  The following is her biodata:

Acharya Shree Chandanaji is one of the greatest and most incredible jewels in the history of the Jain World that has encouraged, inspired and touched millions of souls through her kind words and deeds.  With the blessings of Upadhyaya Shree Amar Muniji, She established Veerayatan centers in Rajgir, Bhuj, Bombay and Pune in India, and has international activities in USA, UK, East Africa, Singpore, Dubai and many other countries. Veerayatan is founded on the principles of Seva, Siksha and Sadhana.  It has been carrying on its humanitarian work through religious seminars and the building of schools and hospitals.  This work is carried on by Acharya Shree’s extremely dedicated team of very learned and talented Sadhvijis.  It is the first and the only Jain organization where one can see Jain Sadhvijis involved in various aspects of hands-on work.

Acharya Shree Chandanaji began her spiritual journey at the very tender age of twelve.  She took Diksha at the age of fourteen in Mewar, Rajasthan.  In 1972, the year that marked the 2500th year of Lord Mahavir’s Nirvana, she accepted the challenge of revitalizing the State of Bihar in India, where Lord Mahavir had His three “Kalyanak”.  With her incredible vision, dedication and perseverance, she has rekindled Lord Mahavir’s message of kindness, compassion and humanity at every step where she has set foot.  This great soul in ordinary white attire with her extraordinary accomplishments has been interviewed by several national and international newspapers and television stations, and has also received many national and international awards.  But the name and fame has not touched this pure acetic.  She is just in her own world, preaching, teaching and spreading the message of Jainism and humanity.

Acharya Shreeji has a deep understanding of all the Jain Shastras.  She accomplished the monumental task of translating the Uttraathan in 33 days.   She is not only a great philosopher, but an extraordinary poetess.  Her recent publication “Bhav Dhara” mirrors her purity of thoughts, words and deeds.  Acharya Shreeji is an eloquent and versatile speaker on Jainism and humanity.  Her artistic ability and creativity  is demonstrated in several museums, such as the “Kala Mandirams” in Rajgir, in London, and in Kenya.  She is the first and the only Sadhviji that has ever been elevated to the position of Acharya in Jain History.”

Please plan on attending her discourse.  For more information, please call Pritiben or Subhashbhai Khara at 714-544-1532.
