DIKSHA CEREMONY
1. Ruby Bansal, re-christened by Acharya, Dr. Shiv Muni, as Shashank Muni
has joined the saintly order in Jan Shwetambar Sthanakwasi sect after his Diksha
at Ropar on the 28th May, 2004. Ruby has been already leading a life, devoted to
the cause of vegetarianism, ahimsa and compassion and has earned a name for his
virtuosity and ethics. He has been initiated as Jain Muni by Acharya Shiv Muni,
having been inspired by his discourses and programmes on self-introspection,
self-restraint and self-purification. After coming in contact with the Acharya,
he developed a strong sense of detachment, austerity and righteousness which led
him to leave the family and worldly chores and move on the path of spiritual
contemplation, abstinence and renouncement. Thousands od devotees joined the
celebrations held in Roper town to mark the holy occasion. Several saints and
sadhwis were present at the time of diksha to bless the newly-initiated saint.
2. Sushri Sangeeta Seth, grand daughter of Shri Chhotalal Ji Bhagwan Ji Seth and daughter of Shri Mahendra Ji Seth from Mumbai was initiated to Jain order by Shri Prakash Chand Ji Maharaj, disciple of Gyangachhadhipati, 1008 Shri Champa Lal Ji Maharaj on the 26th April, 2004 at Jodhpur. The programme was organised by Shri S.S. Jain Gyan Shrawak Sangh, Jodhpur.
