WILD LIFE TRUST TAKES INITIATIVE TO SAVE SHARK-WHALE FISHES ON GUJARAT COAST
The State of Gujarat possesses the longest sea-coast in the whole country and Whale-Shark fishes arrive on this coast during the months of April to July. Often the fishermen are tempted to catch these rare fishes to fetch a heavy price. In order to offer protection to these rare varieties, the Wild Life Trust of India has recently launched an intensive programme to create consciousness amongst the people to save these animals and not to harm them or kill them. The revered preacher, Shri Morari Bapu has also been inspiring people of the coastal region to give all possible protection to these animals and save them from extinction.
