We have been able to finalize the program of Anjan Shalaka Mahotsav here in Los Angeles as well as in Sankeshwar, Gujrat. There is a full team of very dedicated people working together to make sure that the entire process goes off smoothly and with full care, holiness, dignity and security.

The program is as follows:

April 19^th, 2009:

Uthappan Ceremony in JCSC:

·        Uthappan Puja will start at 8 am.

·        Ghee boli will be done for the Uthappan Puja. Starting boli for the Mulnayak (MahavirSwami) is set for $1501 while $1001 for the other two Pratimajis.

·        Ghee boli will be done for the Shanti Kalash, Aarti and Mangal Divo.

·        There is a nakro of $501 for the Snatra Puja.

·        Puja on the three Pratimajis on the center pedestal will be allowed until 10:00 AM only

·        These three Pratimajis are scheduled to depart the Jain Center by 12:00 PM  (Flight details to follow), arriving in Ahmedabad/Shankhesh war on April 21.

April 27^th, 2009:

AnjanShalaka Mahotsav in Shankheshwar:

·        AnjanShalaka Mahotsav will be performed on the auspicious day of Akhatrij on April 27 in Shankheshwar Tirth by Gachhadhipati Shree Vijay Premsuri Maharaj.

·        We encourage all community members to accompany our three Pratimajis to Shankheshwar and attend this auspicious ceremony of Anjanshalaka.

·        If you are planning to go, please let us know so that we can arrange for a room for your stay in Shankheshwar. Please send an email to jcsc-asc@googlegrou ps.com.

·        If you are not able to attend yourself, your family members in India can take advantage of the AnjanShalaka Mahotsav on your behalf.

·        AnjanShalaka Mahotsav related Ghee boli would be done during the Uthappan Ceremony on Sunday - April 19, 2009.
