DETERMINED TO TAKE SALLEKHANA FOR GIRINAR

Hubli (Dharwad District, Karnataka), November 15: Muni 108 Sri
Merubhushan Maharaj has said that he would observe sallekhana in
indications given to Gujarat and Central Governments are not taken to
cognisance regarding the maintanance of status quo of Siddakshetra
Girinar as it was on August 15, 1947. He has strongly appealed to the
Governments to resolve the impediments faced by the Jains for the
Girinar issue. He has also appealed to withdraw the Government order
favouring aggression by non Jains. He has called for starting a
special court for early clearance of the cases pending.
He told that sallekhana would be observed from the martyrs day i.e.
