similarities in architecture

Dear friends,

I am attaching a picture of Shore temple of Mahabalipuram near Madras which is  ancient heritage of 4th cent B.C.

There is another picture of Chandragiri Jain temple of Sravanbelagola which has got similarities in architecture.

Kindly give your views.
